Best Shampoo For Dry Damaged Hair:

Looking for the Best Shampoo For Dry and Damaged Hair?

Keracare Sulfate Free Shampoo
Amazon Price: $11.97

I promise you won't find anything better, if you were to only buy one product for your hair, the must buy product is hands down a deep conditioner (click here to see my favorite).

However, one must wash one's hair. Correct?  So since it is inevitable that we must shampoo our manes.  Here ar
e my Top 2 Rules of Thumb when looking for the best shampoo for your hair type:

  Make sure it's Moisturizing

   Make sure it's Non-Stripping/Gentle

Before I go in-depth in detail with my two rules, it is first important to point out that women with dry and damaged hair usually have curly, wavy or  S shaped patterns in our hair. Shocker, right?

Ok.  Yes, that is common knowledge, but most people do not realize that this is the reason our hair is harder to stay moisturized than our naturally straight stran
ded sisters. Therefore, because of our "twists and turns" in our hair, it makes it more difficult for our natural oils produced from our scalp (called sebum) to penetrate down our entire hair shaft.

The Best Shampoo for Dry Damaged Hair hands down is definitely a Sulfate-Free Shampoo.  What are sulfates you might ask.  Well sulfates, which is short for Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Lareth Sulfate (SLES), or Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate (ALS) which are found in most shampoos...oh and not to mention many household cleaner for your tile, bathroom, and kitchen.

No, I'm not joking. Go ahead, I'll let you go to your cabinets, take your shampoo bottle of the shelf, and read the back of the label.  G
o ahead, I dare you.  It should be either the 2nd or 3rd ingredient, which means there is ALOT of it. Sulfates strip the hair of moisture which is extremely counterproductive to what your hair CRAVES.

Sulfate Free Shampoos are amazing because they do not strip our hair of the essential oils it needs. It also reduces frizziness (THAT'S A HUGE PLUS), reduces hair loss, scalp irritation, and color fading.

Ditch your other shampoos full of harsh chemicals and pick up this shampoo. It will work wonders for your hair. You almost can never get enough moisture, so make sure you are buying an Ultra Moisturizing sulfate free Shampoo. It is the best shampoo for african hair by far.

My top pick for a moisturizing shampoo hands down would be Best Shampoo For Dry Damaged Hair: KeraCare Hydrating Detangling Shampoo.  I have used this product for years and have yet to find anything in it's comparison.  Why mess with perfection?

This is my FAVORITE shampoo. I was VERY upset when I heard that KeraCare was changing their formula because no other shampoo has worked so well for my hair as the original formula of the Hydrating Detangling Shampoo.

I was pleasantly surprised, however, when I opened the bottle and poured the contents into my hand. The consistency was almost identical to the old formula: the smell: same (fresh and clean), the color: slightly off (a tad lighter yellowish color), the feel: same (reminds me of raw eggs).

When I rinsed my hair, it felt unbelievably soft... but no softer than the original formula.... which is fine with me because I didn't want this product to change... at all!

(Straight From The Bottle)
